Praxis is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Keyboard navigation: All pages and interactive elements can be accessed using a keyboard alone.

Screen readers: We use semantic HTML, proper heading structure, and descriptive alt text on images so assistive technologies can interpret our content.

Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios for readability.

Responsive design: The site adapts to all screen sizes, from desktop to mobile.

Reduced motion: Animations are disabled for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

No auto-playing media: Nothing plays, moves, or flashes without user action.

Plain language: We write in clear, straightforward language.

We are a small volunteer-run organisation and are continually working to improve accessibility. Some event photos uploaded by community members may have limited or missing captions. We are working to address this over time.

Praxis events are held at Studio Space Ottawa, 2477 Kaladar Avenue, Ottawa. If you have questions about physical accessibility at the venue or require accommodations to attend an event, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to help.
